Finding Call Premiums and Executing a Buy/Write Using the Fidelity Systems
I am not recommending Fidelity but since I use them and several of my
farmer friends also use them I thought it would be helpful to walk you through how to find the covered call premiums and how to do a buy/write
multi-leg purchase if you have a Fidelity account.
There are many other good brokers who provide the same services and you
will need to work with their systems to provide the same results if you are using someone else.
You can either put your cursor over the picture and an explanation will show or
for best results click on the first picture and it will bring up a larger picture.
Then click on Next at the top and it will take you through each picture and recircle back at the end.
Look at the bottom of the picture for my comments about the page.
PLEASE NOTE: As of November 17, 2010 there is an issue with the
Strategy Evaluator. It will not work on your PC if the Evaluation Point is set to 0 so please make sure it is greater then 0 but less then the expiration time.
Also, It is not working on our IPAD's because the IPAD defaults the
Evaluation Point to 0 and will not let us change it. Unfortunately, we
have been unable to get this information on the IPAD. We have contacted Fidelity and hopefully they can fix the problem. If you have an issue please call your Fidelity representatives and let them know your issue.
Please Note: This is not a recommendation for BIDU but as an example to show you how to find
the premium % and do a buy/write. I do not provide any stock recommendations on my website but if any stocks are shown solely for examples.
